QSFP (Quad Small Form factor Pluggable) Transceivers
for low-latency XAUI-over-ribbon-fiber applications

Product photoProduct Codes:
• 10G-QSFP

Key Features:
• Small size
• Very low latency
• 1W typical power

Specifications:

These industry-standard QSFP (Quad Small Form factor Pluggable) optical-fiber transceivers are supplied to Myricom from multiple sources. Myricom has qualified the transceivers from each source for performance and reliability.

Consistent with the QSFP multi-source agreement (MSA), these transceivers have a common mechanical specification, pinout, and management interface, and connect with MTP/MPO fiber connectors to ribbon fiber with four multimode fibers in each direction.

The QSFP MSA allows for operation at variable rates up to 10.3125 GBaud on each fiber for the most advanced QSFP transceivers, but the 10G-QSFP is qualified for operation at 3.125 GBaud per fiber (XAUI signaling rates) at distances up to 200m. The optical signaling is at an 850nm optical wavelength.

Laser Safety: These QSFP transceivers are Class 1M Laser Products. Do not view optical-fiber ports directly with optical instruments.

Power: 1W typical.

Reduction of Hazardous Substances: These devices are RoHS-compliant lead-free (RoHS-6).
