The rack kit shown to the right is supplied together with the 10G-21U-CLOS-ENCL, 10G-21U-EDGE-ENCL, 10G-12U-CLOS-ENCL, 10G-12U-EDGE-ENCL, 10G-7U-CLOS-ENCL, and 10G-7U-EDGE-ENCL switch enclosures. The rack kit is designed to mount between the front and rear vertical rack-mount rails, and telescopes in order to accommodate different front-to-rear spacing.

Use of the rack kit is highly recommended both to assist during installation and to support the enclosure in the rack against the shock and vibration that may be encountered when shipping racks with switches installed.

Physical characteristics: Dimensions: 4.25 inches (108mm) high by 21 inches (533mm) to 30 inches (762mm) deep (telescoping). The "shelf" at the bottom is 0.125 inches (3.175mm) thick, and the the vertical dimension of the 21U, 12U, and 7U enclosures allows for this thickness. Weight: 8 pounds (3.6 kg).

Reduction of Hazardous Substances: The material and surface treatment of the rack kit is RoHS-compliant lead-free (RoHS-6).
