Power modules for Myri-10G switches

The 10G-POWER 840W power modules are used in the 10G-21U-CLOS-ENCL, 10G-21U-EDGE-ENCL, 10G-12U-CLOS-ENCL, 10G-12U-EDGE-ENCL, 10G-7U-CLOS-ENCL, and 10G-7U-EDGE-ENCL switch enclosures. The enclosures will accommodate up to four of these power modules, which operate in an auto-parallel mode and can be individually hot-swapped. Specifications:

Power output: +12V @ 70A (840W) maximum with auto-parallel capability.

Power input: 100-240 V~, 12A maximum, 50 Hz / 60 Hz. The power factor at full load is typically 0.98, but at typical loads is ~0.90.

Efficiency: 82% minimum at full load and "high line" (maximal input voltage, a worst case).

Monitoring functions: The power modules plug into a circuit board at the base of the enclosure. A microcontroller on this circuit board monitors and reports on the serial link to the 10G-MONITOR-B monitoring card "AC good" and "DC good" status information from each power supply.

LEDs: Each power supply has a red/green bicolor LED to verify the presence of input and output power (green) or indicate a fault (red).

Physical characteristics: Dimensions: width: 3.30 inches (83.8mm), case height: 1.58 inches (40.2mm), depth not including handle and circuit-board connector: 11 inches (279.4mm). Weight: 3.1 pounds (1.4 kg).

Cooling: These power modules have their own built-in fans. The airflow path in Myricom switch enclosures is separate from the airflow path for the line cards in the card cage.

Environmental limits: Operating: Temperature -10C to +50C up to 10,000 foot altitude. Relative humidity 20% to 90% non-condensing. Storage: Temperature -40C to +85C.

Regulatory Approvals: When properly installed in Myricom 10G-21U-CLOS-ENCL, 10G-21U-EDGE-ENCL, 10G-12U-CLOS-ENCL, 10G-12U-EDGE-ENCL, 10G-7U-CLOS-ENCL, or 10G-7U-EDGE-ENCL enclosures, the power module is fully compliant with EN55024 (1998 w/A1: 2001 & A2: 2003), EN55022 (1998) Class A, AS/NZS 3548 (1005 W/A1 & A2: 97) Class A, CISPR 22 (1997) Class A, FCC Part 15 Subpart B Section 15.109 Class A, VCCI (April 2000) Class A, & ICES-003 Class A (ANSI C63.4 1992). Reduction of Hazardous Substances: These power modules are RoHS-compliant lead-free (RoHS-6).
